WorldChicago Opens the World to Chicago

WorldChicago Opens the World to Chicago

Ever considered hosting an international visitor, whether it’s a student, businesswoman or a journalist? Perhaps overnight stays might not be an option but hosting a dinner for international delegates would be easy to do. WorldChicago might be your ticket to an international experience you won’t forget.

WorldChicago offers Chicago-area citizens ways to be involved, including professional hosting, expertise sharing and social dinner-hosting. The non-profit organization offers full-day cultural experiences; home stay hosting; the opportunity to attend WorldChicago events to network and meet other internationally-minded Chicagoans. It also offers interesting and meaningful mentoring, internship, and volunteer opportunities.

WorldChicago provides our local community with unique opportunities to build business relationships and lasting friendships with visitors from around the world. It helps enable a better understanding of all cultures and helps promote Chicago as a vibrant center for commerce, culture and tourism.

The organization achieves these goals through federal government and private programs and individual donations. Currently, the organization is running an online auction as a prelude to its Fall Cultural Fundraiser, "Incredible India - A Night to Remember,” on Tuesday, October 2.

The online auction will run from August 1 to September 16, 2012, and proceeds benefit WorldChicago in order to support programs of Citizen Diplomacy in Chicago.
